Energy Storage Batteries For Solar PV and Wind Turbines
The Sprinter range is designed for emergency backup power usage in uninterruptible power supplies and DC standby power systems. They have are Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with a gel electrolyte (dryfit technology). For energy storage in solar PV and wind power renewable applications, GNB Industrial Power supplies the following batteries:
- Classic EnerSol Energy Storage Batteries (52-250Ah): are wet/flooded batteries with a liquid electrolyte for energy storage applications in leisure and consumer applications.
- Classic EnerSol T Energy Storage Batteries (376-1282Ah): are wet/flooded batteries with a liquid electrolyte suitable for solar and wind power systems in domestic applications.
- Classic OPzS Energy Storage Batteries (70-4600Ah): are wet/flooded batteries with a liquid electrolyte for solar and wind power, telecommunications, power distribution companies, railways and other harsh, safety critical environments.
GNB Industrial Power Brands
Absolyte is one of the most recognised brands in the large valve regulated global stationary battery market. Established in 1983, the Absolyte brand in installed in over 10,000,000 battery cells installed around the world.
The Marathon brand was introduced in 1996 and is a range of 12 year design life valve regulated AGM battery. Sprinter was introduced in 1996 and provides the high levels of performance needed for UPS applications.
Powerfit is another valve regulated lead acid battery brand using AGM technology and is used in commercial standby applications.
Sonnenschein is battery of German origin used in a number of standby power and now renewable energy applications.
Finally, Classic is a vented lead acid technology using a liquid electrolyte. The Plante (GRoE) product has over 100 years of field usage.
